4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISION
4.1 Product Conformance. The products shall meet the salient characteristics of this commercial item description, conform to the producer’s own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The governmaent reserves the right to require proof of such conformance.
5. PACKAGING
5.1 Packaging. Preservation, packing, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
6. NOTES
6.1 Part Identification Number (PIN). Wood stakes conforming to this commercial item description are identified by a part number configuration consisting of a portion of the CID number, type and length. An example of the part number configuration is shown below. This part numbering system is inteded for identification and cross – indexing of the item within the Federal cataloging system. The following part identification numbering procedure is for government purposes and does not constitute a requirement for the contractor.
AA22021B Examples: (AA22021B) = Type I, Length – 14 inch
AA2202 = Commercial item description number.
1 = Type 1 = I, 2 = II

6.2 Ordering data. Purchasers should select the preferred options permitted herein and include the following imformation in procurement documents (if applicable)
a. Title, number and date of thi commercial item description.

c. Preservation, packing, and marking desired.
